If you are a German student, you can fortunately skip most formalities. However, you might still find some of our tips very useful.
1. If needed, organize your visa and any other formalities required to enter Germany.
2. Prepare and pack the following documents: your admission letter, your passport, a valid visa, original documents of your university degree in the original language, and any other documents the international office of the TU Dresden or the embassy have required you to take.
3. If you have any questions considering the documents needed or formalities to take care of before you arrive, please contact the international office of the TU Dresden.
Organize your accommodation before you arrive in Dresden - you can do it online from home! For the start, probably the easiest solution will be to secure a place in a student hall. Visit the website of theStudentenwerk Dresden.

Book your trip to Dresden- if possible, please try to avoid coming at the last moment or worse, coming after the semester has already started. You will need a couple of days to unpack, get to know the city and the campus, and to take care of all the formalities.
Enrollment dates are provided in your admission letter, the lectures start in October 2020. Moreover, there will be a Welcome Reception for the new OME-students.
