SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and alcohol consumption
Background of the study
The aim of this pan-European survey is to link alcohol intake to experiences regarding the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. With the outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 in Europe, political actions by national governments led to changes in daily and public life in many places, including possible changes in alcohol consumption. Since the current pandemic is an unprecedented situation with hitherto unknown consequences for everyday life, a questionnaire was developed to investigate its implications, particularly with regard to drinking. The survey resulted from a collaboration of scientists from multiple research institutes in Europe, including the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) and the Hospital Clíníc de Barcelona (Spain).
Conditions for participation
All individuals aged 18 years or older can take part in the survey.

Participation in the study is completely voluntary, responses to any question can be refused and the survey can be stopped altogether at any time. Personal data that could be used to identify natural persons, will not be recorded in this survey.
