User Experience Design
Theoretical positioning
User Experience is a mindset for the human-centered design of interactive processes, which is assigned to the area of human-computer interaction. Central starting points for research questions and topics are the involvement of the users in the different phases of the project cycle and the enhancement of the user experience.
Goals
The “UX Design” cluster considers the methods of product development which integrate users into the surface design of digital products. We examine concepts of UX and usability design that differ interdisciplinarily in order to discuss their applications and to identify and adapt suitable tools and aids.
Research questions
The following questions are handled in different phases and projects:
- How can I use UX in a project, in general and in particular?
- Which methods are used in which project phases?
- Which UX methods are there? What are the strengths and weaknesses?
- What are current trends for an efficient design?
- How can UX design contribute to the sustainability of applications?
