User Experience Design
Which goals do we persue
Our goal is to adopt and make the Human-Centered Design process "tangible," to make its benefits visible, and to research and question it. In doing so, we discover and discuss current User Experience/Usability developments, look at trends in more detail, and highlight the added value. We test new methods, experiment with them, and modify them as needed for specific projects and target groups.
We see our task as integrating the target group as much as possible into the development process of digital products and/or support offerings. In particular, participation processes and concepts such as co-creation and design thinking are to be researched in the cluster and also directly applied in the research and development projects of CODIP. This enables us to create useful, experiential, intuitive, and innovative products and support offerings for users.
How we create value
In the cluster and in project teams, we empower ourselves to integrate the Human-Centered Design (HCD) process into the respective projects. We bring in necessary themes, methods, and processes and at the same time offer others added value by making our knowledge available internally (CODIP) and externally (UX community, scientific community, project partners, etc.). Publications, presentations, and exchange at conferences and our own events serve as platforms for the further development and integration of our own topics.
All of this serves to further develop our UX expertise and contribute to the research discourse on participatory, human-centered design processes.
Research questions
The following questions are handled in different phases and projects:
- Which UX methods are there? What are the strengths and weaknesses?
- What are current trends for an efficient design?
- How can I use UX in a project?
- Which methods are used in which project phases?
- How can UX design contribute to the sustainability of applications?
