Topics can include: Regional and supra-regional vocational training courses or degree programs, application and selection procedures, fields of work and opportunities for advancement, occupational and labor market trends, paths after dropping out of a degree program, gap year options, paths to stays abroad.
At the Employment Agency, the advisors of the Central Foreign and Specialized Placement Service (German abbreviation: ZAV) provide advice on all issues related to entering the international education and labor market, including financing, recognition of acquired foreign educational qualifications, and on residence and work permits.
Equal Opportunity Officers are your contacts for all questions regarding gender-inclusive everyday life at the university. They work in the areas of gender competence, continuing education and public relations, support for persons with care responsibilities, gender-inclusive organizational development, gender controlling, strategy development, and project work.
The Erasmus Coordinators for Exchange Students advise on: Student projects, selecting of courses, arranging timetables, signing learning agreements/study plans, registration for exams, and transcripts of records.
The Faculty Student Bodies (German abbreviation: FSR) are part of the student representation of interests. They are the point of contact for problems with your degree program and for questions about exams. They provide support for orientation at the university (first semester events), offer many useful tips and answers to questions about studying, and represent student interests in committees.
The Graduate Academy (GA) is the central contact and service point for all questions relating to doctorates and the post-doctoral phase. It provides advice, support and funding for, among other things, starting a doctorate, questions of financing, conflicts and crises, acquisition of interdisciplinary competencies, professional orientation after receiving your doctorate.
