You can already apply to study at our university if you have at least a B1 certificate in German as well as a certificate of participation in a further course. If you also send proof that you have learnt German up to C1 level, you could (if all professional requirements are met and you apply with complete documents within the deadline) receive a conditional admission with an invitation to the next DSH (German language examination for university admission) at TU Dresden. Alternatively, you would also have the possibility to submit another sufficient language certificate (e.g. TestDaF 4444 or Telc C1 Hochschule) before you start your studies.
If you have a B1 certificate and proof of an advanced German course up to B2 level, you can receive a reservation for a place at university and an invitation to take an entrance test for our preparatory semester (Propädeutikum). If you pass the test successfully, you can prepare for the DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) within one semester at TU Dresden.
For the application to the Studienkolleg, a B1 certificate German is sufficient.
