Expedition Campus

Your visit to TU Dresden can be tailored to your pupils’ interests and the time you have planned for it, lasting anywhere from just a few hours to an entire day. We have put together several modules with possible plans for you to choose from. More on Expedition Campus
Research, review, test – TU Dresden labs are working hard on solutions for a brighter future. Upon request, school groups will be led through various laboratories at TU Dresden’s faculties and institutes. The point of contact for schools at TU Dresden will be happy to forward your inquiries to the appropriate institutions.
What are researchers at TU Dresden working on? In live presentations streamed straight to your classroom, TU Dresden researchers explain their work on the energy transition, food 4.0 or houses made from carbon concrete. Give your advanced classes a glimpse into the diversity of engineering sciences by inviting a researcher from the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering or the Faculty of Transport Engineering to your school. Whether in person in your classroom or live on video straight from the lab, researchers will be happy to present their current research and answer your questions. To request a visit, please email email the point of contact for schools.

The Center for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI) Cluster of Excellence currently offers six digital modules for school classes based on Saxony’s curriculum. The modules were developed by scientists and education specialists for pupils in various grades. In live sessions, the children can discuss solutions for topics and issues of digitalization. They also have the opportunity to learn programming basics and apply them to design their own mobile game. CeTI uses these methods to bring new technology into the (virtual) classroom and strengthen students’ technological comfort and skills. The modules are designed to last for 90 minutes, but they can be adjusted as needed.
You can find more information about the modules here.
The working group “Studieninformation mal anders” (“New perspectives for prospective students”) is a conglomeration of students from various areas of study at TU Dresden who offer first-hand information to school pupils to facilitate their choice of degree program. The current students visit school classes or hold online presentations and discussions to give insight into their degree programs and student life at TU Dresden.
More information about the working group
The working group was formed as part of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship network. Students receive funding for both subject-related and social engagement.
In addition to our services and programs for school groups, TU Dresden offers a range of individualized study orientation services for school pupils. We kindly encourage you to pass on this information to your pupils.
