Under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Structure and Development – Prof Dr Michael Ruck –, TU Dresden organises a conference on gender equality which is addressed to female young scientists and junior research group leaders of selected DFG coordinated programmes at TU Dresden (SFB 655, SFB 1143, GRK 1621, and SPP 1708). Remaining places can be given to other female scientist from the TU Dresden.

Besides keynote speeches on “Gender in the scientific and academic landscape” by renowned researchers, the three-day conference will provide an opportunity for the participants to attend numerous workshops (parallel workshops in German and English) amongst others on time management, leadership skills, networking, and balancing academic career with family.

During a fireside chat with experienced female professors (role-models), the participants will be able to get into a conversation with them on pathways in research and possible obstacles. Moreover, this conference is especially suited to form networks among researchers of different DFG coordinated programmes.
