The University Health Management offers the Active Break together with the Dresden University Sports Center. The 15-minute exercise break takes place in small groups at several locations on campus and is intended to provide a balance to work- or study-related lack of exercise and is appropriate for all levels of activity and fitness.

With the popular Active Break exercise videos, you can do simple, varied, yet effective exercises right at home or at your workplace. The videos focus on different areas of the body and various topics, from exercises for headaches to vein training or training the core - there is something for everyone!

The Dresden University Sports Centre (DHSZ) offers a wide variety of sports and exercise courses. These take place mainly during the semester, but also partly during the semester break. From A for Aerobics to Z for Zumba - there is something for everyone!

• Costs: varying, but with reduced prices for employees and students
• Language: German, some courses in English

The University Health Management offers the free prevention courses Rücken Fit (Back Fit) and Rücken Fit light (Back Fit Light) for employees together with the Techniker Krankenkasse and probably again from October 2023 Functional Circuit Training (Crosstraining) for students. The courses take place at TK-Punkt or at Sportpark.

The following prevention courses are planned for the winter semester 2023/24:

• Rücken Fit light (Back Fit light): starting Wednesday, 18 October 13:15-13:45 and 14:00-14:30 at TK-Punkt for all TUD employees
• Rücken Fit (Back Fit): starting Monday, 16 October 16:30-17:25 and Thursday, 19 October 16:30-17:25 at Sportpark for all TUD employees
• Functional circuit training (cross training): starting Tuesday, 17 October 16:30-17:25 and Thursday 19 October 15:30-16:25 Uhr at  Sportpark for all students of TUD

Centrally located on the main campus the TU-Was-Pfad (Highway TU Health) offers an easy way to get moving in between and without much effort. It includes four pieces of sports equipment on which strength and balance can be trained.
