Decision of the University Executive Board: Until the end of the lecture period of the 2020/21 winter semester on February 6, 2021, teaching at TU Dresden is to be conducted digitally. Only courses in which the acquisition of competences is impossible without the direct physical interaction of the students (e.g. lab internships) are permitted on-site in small groups.
All managerial staff are requested to instruct their employees to work remotely as a matter of priority, insofar as their activities permit this and the presence of TU Dresden’s employees is not essential for the fulfilment of their tasks.

Call for compliance with hygiene regulations
Since the first semester activities led to five of eight new infections at TU Dresden, the University Executive Board is calling for compliance with the university-wide concept of measures. In addition to making the wearing of masks compulsory in the buildings, a process flow for cases of student infection / staff infection and an infrastructure for working remotely have been established, as well as the provision of plans for room usage, on-site teaching and on-site examinations. The containment of the infection is also the responsibility of the individual, first and foremost by adhering to the distancing regulations and by avoiding unnecessary activities.

Compulsory collection of contact information
The University Executive Board wrote to the staff and students on October 23rd and 26th: Members of staff may switch to working remotely with minimal restrictions on existing operations and in consultation with their respective supervisor, if they are unable to maintain the minimum social distances in the workplace, if they belong to a risk group, or if they have a valid reason (e.g. closure of childcare facilities).
All members of staff and students who visit TU buildings and facilities must register either online in advance or on site from October 27th. Please find the link to a corresponding tool here (https://tud.link/rpyb). The general provisions have been adapted accordingly.
