Dr. Antanovich is a senior research associate at the Nanophotonics center at the B. I. Stepanov Institute of Physics at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In the framework of the fellowship program Dr. Antanovich will implement a short term project dedicated to the synthesis of the new type of semiconductor nanocrystals – indium phosphide nanoplatelets. The hosting research group of Dr. Lesnayk at TU Dresden will benefit from his expertise, which he will share through giving highlights and presentations at seminars and group meetings, personal communication, and by sharing practical skills basis for writing future grant proposals to receive funding from sources for fundamental research as well as for application-oriented programs. Besides the implementation of the project Dr. Antanovich will help to strengthen the collaboration with leading Belarusian research groups specializing in nanochemistry and nanophotonics.
Dr. Antanovich is among the top early-career researchers in Belarus. He has a great deal of experience in the synthesis of semiconductor nanocrystals, which was acquired in the research group that was among the pioneers in studying cadmium chalcogenide nanoplatelets. During his work he developed an excellent publication track record: he co-authored 27 research papers (including 7 first-author ones) and has an h-index of 11 (Scopus, May 2020).
Dresden Junior Fellowship
15 August 2020 – 15 February 2020
Guest at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry
The last four years Dr. Acharyya worked as Project Assistant Professor and as JSPS post-doctoral fellow in the research group of Prof. Yasuhiro Iwasawa at the University of Electro-Communications Tokyo. At TU Dresden Dr. Acharyya will conduct a study in the field of heterogeneous catalysis within the framework of his fellowship. The aim of this fundamental research is to develop methods of conversion of biomass-derived feedstock to chemicals to reduce the amount of fossil fuels used. Furthermore he will contribute to teaching by giving two courses for students.
Dr. Acharyya dedicated the past years of research experiences in learning and handling several spectroscopic and microscopic and diffraction techniques that are used to investigate catalysts. His research works has been published in 36 peer-reviewed international journals and he holds 10 patents.

1. August 2020 – 31. Januar 2021
Guest at the Medical Clinic and Outpatient Clinic III, University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus
Prof. Manuel Mayr works as Professor of Cardiovascular Proteomics at the British Heart Foundation Centre of King's College London. He is an international leading scientist with focus on cardiac proteomics. His collaboration with TU Dresden has been established since 2019 within the framework of transCampus and will be extended during the fellowship with three joint research projects. For these with the help of the outstanding expertise of Prof. Mayr highly innovative research outputs are aspired leading to joint publications in High Impact Journals. Furthermore Prof. Mayr will assist with the further development of the curriculum of the IRTG as a consult to support the proposal for its second funding phase.
Besides having received numerous international highly recognized awards, since 2017 Prof. Mayr holds the prestigious Personal Chair for Cardiovascular Proteomics of the British Heart Foundation. Within his scientific career (h-index 79 (Google Scholar), about 21.000 citations, more than 200 publications) he has obtained new findings amongst others for the risk analysis of cardiovascular diseases and for metabolic diseases, such as diabetes.
The stay of Prof. Mayr at TU Dresden will strengthen the strategic partnership with King’s College London and will have an enormous scientific impact for the interdisciplinary development of the city of Dresden as a location of science.
