About transCampus
The transCampus is a transnational strategic partnership of two elite universities with common deans, professors, and administrative structures. We combine the strengths of two leading countries in Europe using complementary portfolios and infrastructure. This results in scientific and economic advantages and new funding opportunities. transCampus is a research-strong partnership that now extends far beyond its origins in the life sciences. The successful interdisciplinary cooperation is to be further intensified and expanded across disciplines.

transCelerator seed funding for business ideas
Following the establishment of the transCampus initiative in 2015, the transCelerator was set up in 2018 together with the Hebrew University (HU) as promotional instrument of thetransCampus network providing incentives for entrepreneurial activities. The transCelerator aims to:
- Provide seed funding for life science / medicine / biotech projects derived out of the transCampus
- Bridge the gap between academic project funding and relevant start-up funding for commercialisation projects
- Enable the funded projects to be positively evaluated by the Centre for Transfer and Entrepreneurship (CTE) at TUD in terms of becoming marketable preferably in Saxony
The transCelerator seed funding in the field of life science aims at supporting joint projectteams translating their research results into entrepreneurial activities. This transCelerator call intends to grant a total of 150,000 EUR seed funding for 2-3 projects. The number of projects is depending on how the review board judges the chances that the entrepreneurial objectives of the individual project proposal are achieved. Application deadline: 11 Octobre 2020.
