Innovation Challenge
TUD is looking for innovative technological ideas that will increase energy efficiency on campus!
We are all familiar with the current challenges caused by the shortage of energy resources and the associated rise in costs. TUD has already put a range of energy-conserving measures in place and we would like to thank you all for the efforts you have made so that we make it through this crisis together as well as possible.
But we want to take it a step further, so the Extended University Executive Board is calling on you to take part in an Innovation Challenge! Creativity and imagination are key. TU Dresden’s success is all due to your skills and expertise that you apply in the name of science and academia. Now, we are asking you to really put these skills to the test. Help us come up with ideas that will improve energy efficiency, protect our climate, and help us through these challenging times!
What are we looking for?
Do you have an idea about how we can save even more energy on campus and beyond? Have you come across technology, materials or anything else that could be adopted to meet our needs? Maybe even partial results from your ongoing projects could prove useful?
We want to hear your ideas for innovative technological solutions. They don’t need to be fully formed – we are also interested in rough concepts that provide food for thought that we can flesh out together to create a specific plan. As a university, we can and will follow new and unconventional roads, so feel free to think outside the box!
Feel free to share the competition’s poster with your peers to encourage them to participate in the Innovation Challenge.
How can I submit my ideas?
Send your ideas for our campus to by February 28, 2023. Simply send us an email with an outline of your recommendations (max. 3 pages).
What happens with the submissions?
A selection committee with representatives from various areas of our university will review all submitted suggestions and, if possible, we will all work together to make them a reality. And it goes without saying that the best ideas will be rewarded!
We look forward to hearing what you have to share and thank you for your dedication!
