Teaching Coordinating Team
The teaching program planning team began its work on March 13, 2020. Representatives from teaching and the student body, Central University Administration (ZUV), as well as those involved in teaching discussed the current special situation of teaching at TU Dresden due to the coronavirus crisis. They sought solutions for professors, students, and those in the administration.
The work of the teaching program planning team will now continue with a modified remit in the teaching coordinating team:
Tasks and objectives
- Advisory body for the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs below the level of the Standing Committee of the Senate on Teaching
- Coordinate current developments in the fields of study and teaching, discuss current issues, in particular from the perspective of the various stakeholders
- Develop and discuss solutions
- Formulate recommendations for action, resolution proposals, and position papers
- Prepare materials that will serve as a basis for discussion for the Standing Committee of the Senate on Teaching
- Prepare timely decisions for the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs concerning decisions that must be made quickly and are not the subject of the Senate’s decisions

- Use of teaching, learning, and examination software
- Discussions on organizing, holding, and administering examinations
The teaching coordinating team will not only concern itself with the teaching program constraints due to COVID-19, but it will also be used as a permanent advisory body for a wide range of topics regarding teaching and examinations.
