Dialog - Sustainable Construction
Discussion with experts from civil engineering on sustainable construction
11.07.2022 17:00 | Kulturpalast Dresden
Is sustainable building expensive? How can energy and resource consumption be minimized? How can we reduce land consumption and minimize the impact on nature during the entire life cycle of a building (construction, use and deconstruction)? What is urban mining? If you are interested in topics related to sustainable building, join our dialogue "Sustainable Building" with experts in this field at the Kulturpalast Dresden!
The dialogue starts at 5:00 pm with a guided tour to the exhibition "Queens of Structure - Projects and Positions of Women Civil Engineers" (https://queens-of-structure.org/ausstellung). Here, fourteen female actors in civil engineering can be discovered with their projects and their self-image for the profession. They present themselves with selected works that show the wide-ranging fields of activity and topics of their working world and the challenges they face, and provide insights into their experiences in interviews.
Queens of Structure Dresden is a cooperative project with the BMBF-funded research project "Vision2028 - Identifying, Making Visible, Activating Future Potentials for Women Civil Engineers since 1928" (https://tu-dresden.de/bu/bauingenieurwesen/ibb/forschung/aktuelle-projekte/vision2028) under the direction of the Chair of Civil Engineering, TU Dresden.
At 5:30 p.m., the dialogue format starts with invited female experts on the topic of sustainable construction. Guests are:
