Equal Opportunities in Structural Units and Research Projects
The staff unit Diversity Management implements equality measures at TU Dresden across faculty boundaries and advises the structural units in the design and implementation of their own measures.
DFG-funded collaborative projects have been supported by the staff unit Diversity Management in cooperation with Directorate 5 - Research (Flyer) in the development and implementation of equal opportunities measures. With the equal opportunities funds of the German Research Foundation, DFG-coordinated programmes can effectively contribute to improvements in the areas of equal opportunities and family friendliness at TU Dresden.
Our service
- Support for the application for coordinated programmes (text modules for the application can be found onthe internal Websites of TUD - Registration)
- Advice on the development of measures and their implementation within the coordinated programmes
- Development and coordination of cross-programme or university-wide measures, in which individual programmes can participate
- Contact the DFG for fundamental questions

Career development measures
- Advice and support for the implementation of career support measures (for example soft skills courses; leadership and management training, advanced training offers)
- Gender Conference 2016
Measures for the reconciliation of scientific career and family life
- Nearly 60 childcare places for children up to three years of university employees are available (contribution to the operating costs)
- Flexible childcare during official appointments
Miscellaneous
- Mentoring for students in the area of STEM, promotion of young talent (contribution to the overall financing)
