Girls' DayGirls' Day 2025: Shape the future – digitalization at TU Dresden
Nöthnitzer Straße 46
01187 Dresden
Immerse yourself in the world of computer science and digitalization! Artificial intelligence (AI), state-of-the-art supercomputers and the use of digital media in teaching and research: At the Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Sciences (CIDS), digitalization is supported, researched and further developed in all dimensions at TU Dresden. Experience first-hand what we are working on.
- In the Living Lab, you will train your first AI model and learn about various machine learning methods. As a researcher, you can try everything out for yourself here.
- Afterwards, you will explore the High Performance Computing Center - the IT heart of TU Dresden - and find out how our supercomputers work. Here you will also learn what you can expect from our exciting vocational training and study opportunities.
- After lunch with students, we will continue at the Makerspace of the Sächsische Landesbibliothek – Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek (SLUB), one of the most modern libraries in Germany, where we will present interactive exhibits such as the Magic Mirror in a pop-up exhibition of the CIDS, which will bring our research to life for you.
Discover how digital technologies are revolutionizing research, teaching and our everyday lives - and how you can help shape the future yourself by choosing to train or study computer science at TU Dresden!
Registration via the Girls' Day portal is required for participation. The offer is aimed at girls aged 13-18.
