First Steps

The simplest way to upload or access data in the Cloudstore is through the web browser. The service can only be reached via a secured website (https): https://cloudstore.zih.tu-dresden.de

Log in using the ZIH login.

To be able to use Cloudstore, the terms and conditions of usage must be accepted at the first login. To do so, the check the box and click on “Confirm”.

Now you will see the default view of the Cloudstore:

• In all views, the imprint can be selected in the upper toolbar.
• At the top right, you can open the personal menu by clicking on the name. There you can log out of Cloudstore, go to the (English) help pages orto the personal settings.
• In the upper left corner you can choose between the file view and the images view.
• In the picture view you see all pictures and ornaments with pictures in a gallery view for viewing.
• In the File View you can see your files and folders in the Cloudstore and work on and withthem ...

  • Use the bar on the left to select different views of files and folders:

    All files - displays all files and folders

    Shared with you - all files and folders shared with you

    Shared by you - all files and folders shared by you

    Shared by a link - all files and folders shared with you via link

    External storage - all group directories to which you belong

    Deleted files - all files deleted by you in the last 30 days

  • Use the New button to create new objects in the current folder.
  • The button Upload (arrow up) will open the browser’s file dialog to upload files to the Cloudstore.
  • There are a number of operations for a file or folder. Depending on the type (folder, file, image, etc.), different actions are possible when you move the mouse over the desired object.
