The Bachelor of Business Education and Management Training concerns the question of how economic content can be consistently mediated to different target groups (e. g. in commercial education and further training). The Bachelor of Business Education and Management Training has an interdisciplinary orientation and teaches knowledge and skills in Business Administration and Economics, Educational Sciences, and Psychology. You receive a broad economic education with the possibility of specialization starting with the 4th semester. During your study you may decide for one of two study directions. While Direction I is mainly economically directed, Direction II combines Business Administration and Economics with possible other general qualification options (e. g. foreign language, history, religion, mathematics). After finishing the Bachelor you are able to recognize, analyze, and understand economic and educational issues and solve corresponding problems.
A Bachelor degree in Business Education and Management Training allows you to apply for a four semester continuing master program. Also it opens up attractive career possibilities in commercial education and further training, educational counseling, adult education and business/administrative company departments (e. g. personnel division). Direction II additionally allows you to realize a clerkship and therewith teach at a vocational school, after finishing a corresponding master program.
The Bachelor program consists of modules in a broad compulsory part, a mandatory part with various specialization possibilities, and the Bachelor thesis. The workload comprises 180 credit points. Every semester 30 credit points are awarded.
The mandatory core modules consist, in both study directions I and II, of an economic and an educational part. The economic part teaches fundamentals in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Law, Mathematics, and Statistics. The educational part teaches fundamentals in Educational Psychology, Business Didactics, and Commercial Education. Furthermore, you have to realize practical studies in a school and a practical school training. When choosing Direction II, you additionally take mandatory courses in the chosen qualification option (German, English, French, Ethics, History, Evangelical and Catholic Religion, Mathematics, and Informatics).
The elective modules allow you to choose modules of interest in the areas of: Business Education, Business Administration, Economics, and an additional field.
The program is completed in the 6th semester with a Bachelor thesis.
