The Green Office is the first point of contact for any ideas or questions you might have on sustainability at TUD. The team connects experts and enthusiasts from across the university and organizes a monthly RepairCafé on campus as well as the Ecological Sustainability lecture series.

Our dedicated students have already done a lot for sustainability on campus. Their passion and ideas help us to effect positive change. The public bookcases and tuuwi garden are just two examples of the TU Environmental Initiative’s various projects.

The campus as a home for nature: Insect-friendly fields and trees for more biodiversity – TU Dresden is making its campus green. Not only is this good for animals and plants, but people should feel at home here, too. Environmental management is also working to ensure that university operations are as resource-efficient as possible.

TUD aims to advance sustainability and environmental protection throughout the university. The Environment Commission comprises representatives from research, administration and the student body and plays a central role as an advising committee to the University Executive Board. It runs various projects on topics such as mobility.

How can we save energy and reduce emissions in the buildings on campus? How can we introduce renewable energy sources and recover waste heat, e.g. from the computer centers? This is what researchers are investigating in the interdisciplinary CAMPER MOVE Project. With PRISMA, TUD also has its own center for sustainability assessment and policy.
