The IIT Madras, Chennai, is the top Indian university for engineering. Since 2024, TUD and IITM have been connected in a transCampus committed to joint cutting-edge research on water, climate, medicine and microelectronics. One main goal is to foster start-up partnerships.

TU Dresden has a long-standing partnership with King's College London, which has evolved into a model for other collaborations: the transCampus. A research-oriented partnership with two International Research Training Groups that prioritizes the training of excellent early-career researchers.

In 2023, TU Dresden opened its first Liaison Office abroad in Taipei, Taiwan. Our collaboration with Taiwanese partners, such as the National Taiwan University and TSMC, focuses on microelectronics and semiconductor technology. For example, the STIPT program offers students from all over Saxony a unique opportunity to gain qualifications in this high-tech sector.

TU Dresden is promoting cross-border collaboration in research and teaching for a strong regional development in the border triangle area where Saxony, Poland, and the Czech Republic meet.
