Login to the HPC Systems
For security reasons, the access to the high performance
computers is limited to the campus network of the TU Dresden.
The login is carried out with Secure Shell (SSH).
Users in the campus network of the TU Dresden
You will need an SSH-client on your desktop PC so as to
login to the high performance computers. Insecure connections
(e.g. via telnet) are not permitted. Unix and Linux usually
feature an SSH client. The client needs to support the protocol

Using graphics on HPC
You will need a X-Server on your PC to use graphics on th HPC System. User with a Linux- or Unix-Distribution had installed the needed Software already. Windows-User have to install a X-Server. You could use the free usable X-Server "X-Ming" or "Cygwin":
