OER-MB Conference
On 26 September 2019, the symposium "Free digital teaching concepts for academic training in mechanical engineering" took place at the Technical University (TU) Dresden (George-Bähr-Str. 3, Room ZEU 260). It was organised in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) and the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences (HS).
At the conference, 65 participants from a total of 31 German universities, vocational training centres and other (educational) institutions gained an insight into the potential of digitally supported, open educational resources. In an introductory keynote, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Beitelschmidt (TU Dresden) gave an interesting insight into his extensive activities in the field of digitally supported teaching for engineering mechanics. Afterwards, the Open Educational Resources expert Tom C. Adler (Fiplor UG) introduced the participants to the topic of open educational resources and outlined in particular their many opportunities for academic training.
