Biography
Merve Sefunç was born in Adana, Turkey. She received the Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in electrical and electronics engineering in 2011 and 2014 from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. After receiving her Bachelor degree, she worked as a System Design Engineer at ASELSAN Inc. between the years 2011 and 2015. Since December 2015, she has been a Research Associate with the Chair of Communications Theory, Technische Universitatät Dresden. From 2015 to 2018, she worked as an Early Stage Researcher of the project 5Gwireless within the framework of the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITNs). She finalized her Ph.D. degree in October 2019 from the the Chair of Communications Theory, Technische Universitatät Dresden. Her research interests include the area of communication theory and signal processing, with main focus on design and analysis of energy- and spectrum-efficient system models for future wireless communication networks.
