Study at the chair of privacy and security
The chair of Privacy and IT Security offers a variety of courses, seminars, and topics for different research theses.
Our chair gives the foundations lecture on information and coding theory (Informations- und Kodierungstheorie, IKT) for computer scientists, as an initial introduction to codes and information theory (this is a mandatory course, planned for your second term).
You are welcome to choose from our offer at your own discretion, however, we believe that certain combinations may suit your interest best.

Teaching
The chair of Privacy and IT Security offers a variety of lectures, seminars, and topics for different research theses.
BASICS
- Operating systems and security (Betriebssysteme und Sicherheit) gives you a basic introduction into organizational matters and a broad background of crypto and security services in your 3rd or 5th term.
- Security and Cryptography 1 is your introductory "Security 101" course to choose if you're interested in the topic. We introduce threats and attacks, an overview of all the security services as well as crypto, and show you how they are implemented and used. We offer SaC 1 every winter term.
ADDITIONAL
- Beyond the basics, we offer advanced courses to dig deeper into the subject.
