Group Biomaterials Development

Our group Biomaterials Development at the Max Bergmann Center for Biomaterials is within the topic Bioengineering active in following tasks (i) Development of new and innovative methods for the immobilization of biologically active molecules on biomaterials surfaces, (ii) matrix engineering, i.e. development of artificial extracellular matrices for a defined communication with cells, (iii) design of multi-parametric defined cellular microenvironments, and (iv) chracterization of materials and surface states with a special focus on biological reactions.
This range of topics we also cover with our teaching activities.
