Gender Equality and Internationalization
Like gender equality, internationalization is an overarching field of action with strategic importance at universities. The objective in this field of action is to interlink the cross-cutting issues of equality and internationalization more closely at TU Dresden and to stimulate synergies. Since October 2021, the Office of the Gender Equality and Women's Representative has organized the discussion group Gender Equality and Internationalization at least once a year. Main topics:
The impetus for this was provided by Equal Opportunity Officers in the field of engineering. In this research landscape, the recruitment of female scientists is generally a challenge and, at the same time, an intensification of international networking is taking place on the research side. The need for closer integration of of gender equality and internationalization has long been recognized in Germany's gender equality work. Accordingly, the Federal Conference of Women's and Gender Equality Representatives at Universities is working on this issue (bukof-commission GlInter). The Gender Equality Office has been active in this commission since 2022. |
