The Institute is located south of the centrum of Dresden, near the main road to the Czech Republic. When approaching from Prague, the buildings are located on the left-hand side of the road, immediately after the Südhöhe, the last hill before reaching the City of Dresden.

From all other directions, you are advised to follow the signs guiding towards Prague. After passing the Campus of the University of Technology, the B170 main road brings you up to Südhöhe, where the institute is located on the right-hand side of the road.

Starting from the main railway station south of the centre of Dresden, it is quite easy to find the institute. There is one direct bus connection, line 66 (direction Mockritz/Coschütz/Gittersee), both of them stopping nearby the institute (3 stops from the railway station). If you prefer to walk, you have to schedule approximately 20 minutes. If arriving by plane, please find your way to the railway station and then take the buses as indicated above. Taxi fare for direct transprot is approx. 15 Euro.
