Accessibility at TU Dresden
TU Dresden is committed to contributing to the social promotion of its members and to take into account the special needs of employees and students with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Thus, equal participation is currently shaped by the Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Disability Rights Convention. These activities are supported by TU Dresden's quality objectives.
You can find concrete offers of help on the pages of the Commissioners for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses. Should you notice any deficiencies regarding the accessible design of TU Dresden, you can use the form "Report an accessibility issue".
Accessibility Statement
The TU Dresden is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible, in accordance with “Website Accessibility Act” BfWebG (Barrierefreie-Websites-Gesetz) and the “Accessible IT Ordinance” BITV 2.0 (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung), implementing EU Directive 2016/2102.
This accessibility statement applies to the website tu-dresden.de. It does not apply to project websites and pages of individual chairs that are not part of the University's WebCMS.
Preparation of this Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on 27th January 2020 and last updated on 5th August 2022. The last verification of TU Dresden's web presence by means of self-assessment was carried out on 25th November 2019.
The basis for issuing this accessibility statement is a self-assessment of the website's compatibility with the requirements of the BfWebG in accordance with BITV 2.0, carried out by TU Dresden.
Compliance status with the requirements of the BITV
The web presence of TU Dresden was launched before 23rd September 2018 and does not yet fully correspond to the current state of accessibility. We are constantly working on the further development of the TUD's web presence and in doing so we are also trying to break down barriers.
