TU Dresden is committed to contributing to the social promotion of its members and to take into account the special needs of employees and students with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Technische Universität Dresden makes every effort to make its website tu-dresden.de accessible without barriers in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
This accessibility statement applies to the website tu-dresden.de. It does not apply to project websites and pages of individual chairs that are not part of the University's WebCMS.

This statement was prepared on 27th January 2020 and last updated on 19th November 2020. The last verification of TU Dresden's web presence by means of self-assessment was carried out on 25th November 2019.
The basis for the issuing of this accessibility statement is a self-assessment of the website's compatibility with the requirements of the BfWebG in accordance with BITV 2.0, carried out by TU Dresden.
Compliance status with the requirements of the BITV
The web presence of TU Dresden was launched before 23rd September 2018 and does not yet fully correspond to the current state of accessibility. We will correct the deficiencies in the coming months.
Non-accessible content
- Alternatives for images and graphic elements are not fully available.
- No alternatives are offered for videos and time-controlled media.
- Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes for orientation within elements are not fully available.
- Accessibility by keyboard is not fully available for the following elements/contents:
- Search filter function
- The "This page..." function, which allows you to print and share the page in social media.
- In the study information system, you cannot select fields of study and filter criteria using the keyboard. However, you can search for alternatives using keywords.
- The position of the keyboard focus is not clearly visible.
- Words and sections in other languages are not marked.
- There is no overview page in forms for subsequent checking or correction of the form entries. These are transmitted directly.
- On start and overview pages, certain elements cannot be skipped because the headings are not set.
TU Dresden's website contains a large number of documents that were published before 23rd September 2018 and are not accessible. If you have any questions about documents and related deficiencies, please contact the Registration Office.
The responsibility for the editorial contents lies with the respective organisations and persons who have created the contents of these pages. They are supported in their work by regular quality controls and training. Nevertheless, errors and barriers in implementation may occur. If you notice any shortcomings or difficulties in accessing the content, you are welcome to report these to the Registration Office.
