Workshop Tataouine, Tunisia October 2021

The 10-day workshop took place as an interdisciplinary workshop with students from ESAD University in Tunis in the desert village of Douiret in the Dahar region in southern Tunisia.

With reference to the original way of life of the Berber tribes in traditional tent structures, students from TUD and ESAD had already jointly developed and visualised visions in a virtual workshop. These visions now formed the basis for a workshop on site, where they were put into practice. In addition to expanding joint cooperation, the focus was on acquiring cultural and professional skills in the local context of southern Tunisia.

The workshop was supported by a full scholarship from the Deutschen Akademischen Auslandsdienst DAAD.
