Cooperation

The institute has close ties within TU Dresden, in the national and international university landscape and to institutional, municipal and public entities as well as regional companies.

These collaborations are to be intensified by means of interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary research projects with the objective of transferring knowledge from the newly structured Institute of Urban and Regional Planning at TU Dresden to civil society, municipal administrations and political committees. The joint appointment of the Chair of Residential Development (now: Urban Planning) by the Leibniz Institute for Ecological Regional Development and TU Dresden combines two excellent research infrastructures in order to utilize local synergies.
