The focus is on conveying an integrated approach when searching for creative solutions for the constantly changing local and global challenges of urbanization. 

The three levels, analysis, urban design and process design are closely intertwined in the courses and are explored on various scales as spatial interactions between micro and macro, local and global.

The objective is for the students to develop skills in research-based design using the various teaching methods: Solution approaches for contemporary, urban issues should be scientifically founded and substantiated and the cultural, social and political framework conditions should be taken into account.
