INTEGER
Intelligent Technologies for Secure and Resilient Cities and Societies –
Joint German-Japanese Research within the H2020 Programs
The concrete goal of the INTEGER preparatory project is the targeted initiation and submission of at least six H2020 projects with lead partners on the Japanese and German sides, including other international research partners. Thematic focus of the submitted proposals is the topic "Secure societies – Protecting freedom and security of Europe and its citizens" in the program column "Societal Challenges" of the H2020 program. Project leaders for the project are Prof. Noennig (TU Dresden) and Prof. Ishida (Toyohashi University of Technology). In the project INTEGER they set up competent multi-national consortia with German and Japanese partners and systematically develop promising H2020 project applications. The overarching, long-term goal is the expansion and intensification of cooperation and research partnerships, especially between German and Japanese universities, on socially, politically as well as economically highly relevant topics of technical and social disaster control, especially in urban areas.
The Laboratory of Knowledge Architecture has developed a systematic process of joint preparation and preparation of grant applications in EU programs, the project development tool "Project Proposal Pipeline". With the help of this structuring tool, the two lead partners, together with other partners from their partner networks, want to write at least six applications (three each year) within INTEGER, which deal with the central research topic "Urban Disaster Resilience and Mitigation" from different perspectives.
This project was made possible with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
