16.05.2023: News about the science

On May 16 and 17, 2023, a FOSTA event entitled "Hochfester Stahl im Stahl- und Anlagenbau" will be held at the Haus der Technik in Essen.
The event will report on the FOSTA research network HOCHFEST, which identifies technical and scientific issues that can contribute to improving design and construction rules, further developing design and application techniques, and expanding areas of application for high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels in steel and plant engineering. In addition, presentations of current research projects will take place on the above topics.
With two contributions by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Richard Stroetmann, our professorship will provide insights into current research on the topics of "Bemessung und Ausführung von Hohlprofilanschlüssen aus höherfesten Stahlen am Beispiel von N-Knoten" and "Knicktragfähigkeit und Eigenspannungen geschweißter Kastenprofile aus höherfesten Stählen".
