Dear friends of the Custody, Dear colleagues and interested parties,

Leonardo da Vinci wrote as early as the 16th century that "we know more about the movement of the celestial bodies than about the ground beneath our feet." More than 500 years later, this finding has lost none of its topicality. The exhibition project "Down to Earth. Art and Soil Sciences in Dialogue” now shows that the ground beneath our feet is not only the essential foundation of our lives, but even art.
