Research at the cutting edge
Our goal is to find the best method for harvesting wood in the forest, which takes into account the often highly sensitive framework conditions. Wherever suitable machines cannot be found on the market, we construct special machines and develop them together with industrial partners until they are ready for the market.
Our research fields
Forest technology:
Functional development of wood harvesting processes, their adaptation to natural and social framework conditions and operational optimization.
Construction of a portal harvester for wet locations, a cable crane for moving short timber on the plain and a harvester head for hardwood.
Work sciences: Motivational leadership, semi-autonomous working groups
