Courses of study

The subject matter of the Chair of Forest Management Planning is integrated within the bachelor’s and master’s degree courses on ‘Forest Sciences’ and the international master’s degree ‘Tropical Forestry and Management.’ The contents of lectures are generally closely linked to the research carried out within the chair so that the results of current investigations can be transferred directly in the student curriculum.

GIS-Pool

In addition to the PC pool in the main building of the Department of Forest Sciences, you will find a dedicated GIS-pool in Stöckhardt-Bau to further your education in the areas of forestry geoinformatics and digital cartography.

Theory and practice

The instruction offered by the chair is characterised by seminars, exercises in the forest and group work, through which the students can develop solutions for current forest management issues in an independent and goal-oriented way.
