Meet the team at the Chair of Geography Education.

Our research projects focus on the conditions for successful geography education within an interdisciplinary context, such as digitalisation and sustainability.

Our teaching focuses on training future geography teachers.

We organise lectures, seminars, excursions and projects, and we consider ourselves to be part of Saxony's learning landscape. We collaborate closely with numerous partners, including schools, museums, associations and ministries, to supervise students in internships such as Schulpraktische Übungen and Blockpraktikum B.

The Chair of Geography Education has a vast collection of specialist literature, subject-specific journals, textbooks and other supporting materials. Our teaching materials lending service (LMA) is run entirely by students.
