Commities
Here you can find an extract of the most important committees to which the Faculty Students' Council (Ger. abbr. FSR) can send students. You would like to have a look at the committees? Then send us an e-mail and let us know your interest.
Expert Committee
The Faculty Council discusses problems and topics of the faculty. Often finances, doctorates, the future and goals of the department, news from research and cooperation with other universities or companies are discussed. Proposals from the study commission are brought to a decision here. Two student representatives of the FSR will represent you.

Exam Board
To ensure the legality of the examinations and compliance with the examination regulations, there is an exam board. The Exam Board consists of professors, university staff and one student representative each for Bachelor and Diploma. This committee is the most important body for disputes in examination matters. You must contact the Exam Board with complaints and problems such as:
-
recognition of examination achievements
-
the fixation of grades
-
application for approval of further repeat tests
The chairman of the Exam Boards signs the certificate.

Students who are not members of the FSR can also participate in this committee.

Senate
The Senate is the highest body of the university with student participation and elects the rector together with the extended senate. Otherwise, the Senate mainly comments on the decisions of the Rectorate and considers the orientation of the university. Only 4 students are elected to the Senate, so it was a nice peculiarity that since the 2016 legislature one of the senators came from the discipline of hydro sciences.
Students' Council (Ger. abbr. StuRa)
The Students' Council is the highest student representation of the university and is thus directly superior to the FSR. Each FSR has voting rights and can send representatives. These do not necessarily have to be FSR members, but should attend the StuRa meeting every two weeks and send the FSR a written protocol.
