Computational Epidemiology Lab
Across disciplines, at all levels, and around the world, healthcare is becoming increasingly complex.
The Computational Epidemiology and Public Health Lab uses digital tools to advance infectious disease control in the context of public health. To this end, we identify the causes of infectious events from a behavioral economics perspective and explore interventions to eliminate or mitigate them. In doing so, we consider the interplay of human behavior, spatial conditions, environmental conditions, and supply structures.
The experience of increasing complexity requires the use of high-dimensional computer models to enable the deepest possible integration of the individual layers.
