Ground Truth thanks to Data From Sky

For more than a year now, we have been able to automatically evaluate and analyse specially conducted traffic observations with drones and stationary mounted cameras thanks to the research cooperation with the video analysis provider Data From Sky During this time, approximately 140 hours of video material from a total of six intersections in the greater Dresden area and two intersections in the Hartenstein area (Saxony) could be processed. This helps us to direct our capacities towards what is important for safeguarding automated driving functions: the identification of test scenarios that make it possible to present current traffic in compressed form and thus offer a "ground truth" for the evaluation of future systems. We will give a first public insight into our activities around test scenario generation at the SePIA closing event this summer.
