The Chair of Railway Signaling and Transport Safety Technology has been organizing the Safety Technology Conference with the subtitle "Developments in Safety Systems in Theory and Practice" since 1979. It was held every two years until 1993. After a long break, the tradition was resumed in 2003; since then, a conference on a current topic has been organized annually in September/October.
