Lecture at the Smart Rail Via Vindobona
The international Smart Rail Via Vindobona conference was held for the first time at TU Wien at the end of January. The event focuses on the Berlin-Dresden-Prague-Vienna rail axis. In addition to specialist presentations and up-to-date information about the important corridor, the aim is to actively network stakeholders from the three countries and all interested parties.
At the kick-off event, Dr. Ulrich Maschek spoke on the topic of "ETCS transitions at national borders". The topic was the effects of different national values and problems with RBC transitions with different baselines.
The conference will take place annually, alternating between one of the three university locations in Vienna, Prague and Dresden. TU Dresden will be the host in 2027.
