Course contents |
The course "Advanced Data Analytics in Production Planning" deals with data-based planning of factories and production systems. The focus is on predictions of customer requirements and, building on this, on data-based planning of customer requirements into production. First, the necessary data for the predictions are structured and prepared (Data Linking). Through the transparency created by Business Intelligence methods (Data Seeing) and the use of statistical methods/measures (Data Understanding), essential insights are gained from the actual quantities. With the help of time series methods and modern algorithms, predictions (Data Foreseeing) of certain products (groups) are calculated. In the final step, production planning is optimized. During the course, students acquire knowledge of various approaches to time series forecasting, such as seasonal, trend and constant forecasting models, as well as of production planning improvement procedures. Basic skills in SQL, Business Intelligence as well as in the programming language R will be taught. |
