For the Gurobi part, there is a 60-minute exam performed on the PC. For the latex part, students need to take an assignment at home. The assignments are issued and submitted in OPAL by downloading and uploading the tasks by the deadlines. |

| Content |
The seminar is held in German. It offers an overview, introduction, and consolidation of the generic typesetting program TeX. The seminar participants should be able to create scientific papers with LaTeX after attending the course. Furthermore, basics in the programming language Python are taught in order to be able to use the solver Gurobi, with the help of which the students should be enabled to integrate quantitative problems by using linear and nonlinear optimization models. Parallel to the lectures, the seminar's contents are deepened in a tutorial in the PC pool. The proof of the acquired knowledge takes place in the context of a computer examination and a document work. Since LaTeX knowledge is a prerequisite for preparing seminar papers and theses at the Chair of Industrial Management, participation in this seminar is especially recommended to students who intend to work on their thesis at the Chair. |
