Joint project SenD
Description:
The focus of the project "Sustainability and digitalization in value chains: The value chain of digital sensors and the role of digital sensors in sustainable value chains" is on the sustainable development and application of digital sensor systems, including the evaluation of key aspects of their sustainability. On the one hand, the value chain of digital sensor systems is examined. The aim here is to develop a sustainable sensor using the example of the smart farming application field and to evaluate it on the basis of the entire life cycle with regard to development, material use, operator effort and end of life. The second part of the project relates to the application of digital sensor systems in value chains and its influence on ecological, social and economic sustainability. Digital sensor systems offer solutions for carrying out necessary measurements ad hoc. At the same time, this development offers a specialization for Saxony, which the project also supports in the design of attractive jobs by promoting new digital skills.
