Workshop on Democracy and Reform on February 10 at the ifo Institute

On February 10, a very stimulating workshop on "Democracy and Reform" took place at ifo Dresden. Olivier Bos (ENS Paris-Saclay), Amrita Dhillon (King’s College London), Dirk Engelmann (HU Berlin), Andrea Mattozzi (University of Bologna),
Lucas Siga (University of Essex), Pilar Sorribas-Navarro (University of Barcelona), and Jan Zapal (CERGE-Ei, Prague) presented exciting papers. 

What are the dynamics of protest? How does factual information drive social activism? And do politicians caught lying by fact-checkers stop disseminating lies? These and many more questions crucial for the future of liberal democracies were discussed at the workshop which was organzied by Marcel Thum and Dimitrios Xefteris who is a 2024 Distinguished Research Fellow of the faculty.
