Research fields
Our research topics are at the interface between environmental, urban and regional economics. Research focuses on the location, production and consumption decisions of economic actors and the resulting spatial structures. The aim is to examine which market and non-market instruments can be used under the conditions of ecological constraints to resolve conflicts between actors in the interests of sustainable development and the reduction of spatial inequalities. Different empirical methods are applied, including spatial econometrics, applied general equilibrium modelling, as well as surveys and interviews.
