REWE Team Challenge 2023 – TU Dresden back at the starting line!

In 2023, TU Dresden will support its employees in participating in the Team Challenge by offering places at a discounted price as well as a TUD running shirt in a new design. “Our goal is to get 1,000 runners at the starting line,” said Stefan Kluge, who is responsible for the organization at Occupational Health Services.

In 2019, over 650 TUD employees participated in the REWE Team Challenge with the support of the university’s Occupational Health Services. Not only did they do something great for their health and fitness, they also enjoyed a wonderful evening with fireworks and an awards ceremony, as TUD was awarded the prize for the organization with the most participants. They won shopping vouchers, which they donated to the Studentenwerk’s childcare facilities.

The 2023 Team Challenge will take place on June 6. Companies, associations and sport groups of all sizes have been sending runners in teams of four (men, women or mixed) on the 5K course through Dresden’s Old Town (Altstadt) since 2009.

The registration for TUD teams will be done centrally for 2023, so you no longer need to register directly with the Team Challenge. Registration is now open via Dresden University Sport Center’s booking system at REWE Team Challenge 2023.

Occupational Health Services and the Dresden University Sport Center are preparing a special running course and other programs to help you train for the run.
