TU was! Health Day on 6th June
For all employees and students of TU Dresden the Health Day will take place again on 6th June. From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, there will be an extensive programme with information and participation offers, medical check-ups and consultations in the Auditorium Centre on Bergstraße. The focus is on sport and exercise, nutrition, first aid and individual health care.
The physician, cabaret artist and author Eckart von Hirschhausen supports the Health Day and has sent a video message that will also be shown on Health Day. Further prominent support comes from Dresden's sports clubs: The SG Dynamo Dresden is building its goal wall, on which anyone can measure their shooting power. The Dresden Titans, basketball players of the 2nd Bundesliga, invite you to shoot some hoops. The small courses allow you can try out numerous sports - from classics such as yoga and back training to the fitness novelties Calisthenics or Shbam Dance. Experts provide information and advice on numerous health topics such as allergies, healthy sleep and vaccinations. Another focus is first aid: everyone is called upon to inform themselves about this important topic and refresh their knowledge.
Health Day is taking place for the 9th time this year. It is organised by the team of the Occupational Health Service, headed by Medical Officer Dr. Astrid Friedmann-Ketzmerick. As part of the University Health Management (UGM), it wants to raise awareness of the topic of health at TU Dresden and give all members the opportunity to deal with it in a varied and uncomplicated way.
